Join CIPPO as a tutor

CIPPO Egypt recruits academic tutors for CIPPO Academic Tutoring, its private one-to-one tutoring service for school-age children in Egypt. A tutor chooses the education systems they teach in (National (Egyptian), IG (British), American, IB, French, German or Canadian), the grades they teach in each system, and their subjects from a list of 17: Mathematics, English, Arabic, French, German, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Studies, History, Geography, ICT & Computer Science, Economics, Business Studies, Reading & Phonics, Study Skills.

Parents search by education system, grade and subject, so a tutor is only shown to families looking for exactly what that tutor teaches. Each tutor has a public profile, and sessions are 60 minutes, one child at a time. Parents pay CIPPO online before sessions are scheduled; tutors do not collect payment from families.

A tutor's rate for a 60-minute session is agreed with CIPPO when they join, and the tutor is paid that full rate for every completed session. Discounts a parent receives for buying a bundle of sessions do not reduce the tutor's pay. Tutors keep the grades and subjects they teach up to date from the CIPPO practitioner portal, and sessions are scheduled around the availability they give.

To apply, a tutor submits an application through CIPPO's careers page or emails [email protected], meets the team, and is onboarded before their profile is shown to parents.

Frequently asked questions

Which curricula, grades and subjects can I teach?

You choose. CIPPO Academic Tutoring covers seven education systems — National (Egyptian), IG (British), American, IB, French, German or Canadian — each with its own grade names, and 17 subjects. You set the systems, the grade range in each system and the subjects you teach, and parents only see you when they search for exactly that.

How am I paid?

Your rate for a 60-minute session is agreed with CIPPO when you join. You are paid that full rate for every completed session. When a parent buys a discounted bundle of sessions, the discount does not come out of your pay.

Do I have to find my own students or collect payment?

No. Parents find you through CIPPO's tutor search and your public profile, and they pay CIPPO online before sessions are scheduled. You never have to chase a family for payment.

Can I choose my own hours?

Sessions are scheduled around the availability you give CIPPO, and you can stop accepting new students when your week is full.

Can I change my rate later?

Yes. Your rate can be reviewed with CIPPO, and a change takes effect once CIPPO approves it. Until then you keep being paid the rate already agreed.

Do I need experience with neurodivergent children?

It is not a requirement for academic tutoring. CIPPO is a neurodiversity-affirming organisation, so we look for tutors who are patient, teach at the child's pace and are open to learning from the multidisciplinary team around them.

How do I apply?

Submit an application through CIPPO's careers page, or email [email protected] with your CV and the curricula, grades and subjects you teach. You then meet the team and are onboarded before your profile goes live.
