Advanced support and development services

CIPPO's advanced support and development services are specialist programs tailored to a child's specific developmental, behavioural and cognitive needs. They come as five kinds of session.

DIR Floortime Sessions are a developmental, relationship-based approach that builds emotional connection, communication and thinking skills through child-led play. Mental Health Sessions give children and adolescents structured techniques for managing anxiety and worry, coping with stress and emotions, setting goals and solving problems. ADHD Sessions work on executive function, attention and focus, organisation and time management, impulse control and self-regulation, with parent coaching and strategies for home.

LSI Sessions (Literacy through Symbol Imagery, based on the Lindamood-Bell framework) develop the visualisation skills behind reading comprehension, vocabulary and written expression. Arrowsmith Sessions are a cognitive program of targeted exercises for the cognitive functions that reading, writing and mathematical reasoning rely on.
